Our business policies are designed to be clear, reasonable and simple.  We want it to be easy for you to do business with us and an enjoyable experience from start to finish.  Like our Lab Lucky's litter mates, we want to ensure you are comfortable with our services and approach!

Reservations for Service

You may make, change or cancel a reservation for service by contacting Chris Bates by email at topchoicepetcare@gmail.com or by phone at (703) 895-6452 between the hours of 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM, seven days a week.  If you are unable to reach Chris directly, please leave a voice message with the date and time of your call and a message about the dates and type of pet care services you are requesting.


Chris will get back to you as soon as possible, typically within 2 hours, if your call is made during our daily service period.  


Top Choice Pet Care serves customers in Bristow, Gainesville and parts of Haymarket and Nokesville.


Payment for Services

Top Choice Pet Care LLC accepts payments by personal check, cash or PayPal.


For new customers, we ask that you provide a 50% deposit of the total fee for the first week of dog walking or pet care services for the initial period of pet care you book with us.  The balance is due promptly upon completion of service for that initial booking.


Thereafter, we ask that you make full payment at the end of each week in which your pet receives our services.  With your approval, we can arrange for recurring invoicing of you using PayPal.


Service Cancellations

We understand that everyone lives a busy life and that cancellations are necessary, sometimes on short notice.  We ask that you provide us with as much advance notice of a cancellation as possible - ideally at least 12 hours before scheduled service or no later than 7:30 AM on the morning of service.  For extended vacation schedule changes or cancellations, we ask for at least 24 hours advance notice.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Do you charge for 'Meet and Greet" initial visits? 

A: No, we are pleased to offer complimentary, no-obligation visits to your home within our service area to meet you and your pets.  In fact, this is the best way to confirm that we are a good fit for your pet care needs and that your pets are comfortable with us.


Q: We have an older dog who needs multiple visits each day when we travel.  How many visits are you able to make to ensure our pet is happy and able to have frequent potty breaks?

A: We typically can make 3 or 4 visits within a 24-hour period to keep your pet comfortable and happy.


Q: How much advance notice do you need to begin service with our pets?

A: We respond promptly to service requests and typically are able to schedule a complimentary 'meet and greet' visit within 1-2 days if your schedule permits.  We do our best to accommodate your schedule, including visiting in the early evening or on the weekend.


Q: What are your fees?

A: Affordability is one of our core business values.  Please contact us by email or phone and outline your specific pet care needs and location.  We will then provide you with our fees tailored to your budget and needs.
